Interclub
The Muni Team traveled to Wescott Plantation on August 7th and had a solid showing. The Team placed 4th at Wescott. That showing was enough for the Muni Team to move into 3rd place in the yearlong race. Top performers for Muni at Wescott were T. Kornyz, L. Lee, and B. Nitkewicz. And, B. Nitkewicz also claimed a close up on Wescott BR #4. The next Charleston Interclub Match will be on September at Pine Forest Golf Club. The sign-up sheet is posted in the Muni Clubhouse Grille.
2023 JLGA Club Championship
The Club Championship was contested over 2 days, August 12-13 in near record heat and record turnout of 68 golfers. The course was in great shape thanks to Steve Agazzi and his staff. The competition was fought to the bitter end. The leaderboard for each division are posted below. Congrats to our 2023 Champions – Open Division; Chandler Mulkey, Senior Division; Frank Dudek, Super Senior Division; Billy Wise, and Ladies Division; Jennifer O’Brien. Mulkey and Dudek are repeat champions and all will represent the JLGA and Muni at the SCGA Tournament of Champions at the Tournament Players Club at Myrtle Beach.

August Blitz
The August Blitz will be held on Tuesday, August 22nd with tee times beginning at 4:00 PM. The August Blitz will be a 9-hole medal one ball event. All competitors will be provided with a sleeve of Wilson K28 golf balls. To qualify for a gross or net prize you must finish with a K28 golf ball. The August Blitz fee is $10. Plan on joining us the Muni for an afternoon of fun golf!
