The Jenkins Links Golf Association (JLGA), named after C. Bissel Jenkins, delivers handicap services, tournaments, a variety of special events and great fellowship to the Charleston community. Headquartered at the Charleston Municipal Golf Course, membership in the JLGA is open to all area golfers. The Municipal Golf Course opened in 1929 on 120 acres of land, which was given to the City by Mr. C. Bissell Jenkins with the stipulation that the property always be a municipal golf course available for everyone.
More than 50,000 rounds are played annually at the Muni and the course hosts a number of city championships, including the City Four-Ball, Men’s City Amateur, Women’s City Amateur and Senior Amateur events. The JLGA adds its own array of 9- and 18-hole events on weekdays and weekends throughout the year.

Members receive an annual GHIN handicap and are eligible for all JLGA events and outings. Cost is only $50 per year.

The JLGA will hold individual and team events throughout the year – from a 9-hole three club tournament to a 36-hole club championship.

Partnering with the Western Golf Associations Evans Scholarship Foundation, junior caddies are now available at the Charleston Muni.
