The May JLGA Blitz- One Player Scramble The next competition for JLGA members will be the One Player Scramble, a 9-holer scheduled for May 19th. Tee times will begin at approximately 4:00 PM. This is a 9-Hole individual medal tournament. The competition will be played on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
Tee times will begin in the late afternoon ( 4:00 PM or later) and be announced at least 48 hours before the competition. Keen to find out more about this format? Keep reading!
Each player may play 2 balls from the tee. The player selects a ball from which to play their second shot. Each player then may play two (2) balls from that position and then selects the best-resulting shot from which to play their next shot. That process continues until the ball is holed.
Registration has been open since April 19th. There is still time to register to compete. Click here to register.
You Make the Call Every month we try to update y’all on rules and GHIN/the World Handicap System. You must post scores for the handicap system to work and to compete in many competition formats. There seems to be some confusion about what constitutes a score that you can post. The first consideration is if it is a competition format that can be used for posting. The guidelines from Rule 2-1a- Played in an Authorized Format of Play follow. You should be using an app (SCGA, GHIN, CGA, etc.) to post on the day of play. And, always post the hole by hole score!
